We take the guesswork out of your project. Use our quick math guide below or try our Durafence Calculator for a precision estimate tailored to your specific plot shape. Note: We recommend adding a 10% buffer for corners, overlaps, and waste.
| Plot Size | Perimeter (Approx) | Chainlink (18m Rolls) | Barbed Wire (610m Rolls) |
| 1/8 Acre (50x100ft) | 92 Meters | 5–6 Rolls | 1 Roll (Standard 6-line) |
| 1/4 Acre | 130 Meters | 7–8 Rolls | 1.5 Rolls |
| 1 Acre | 256 Meters | 14–15 Rolls | 3 Rolls (for 5-line fence) |
This is the #1 factor in your fence’s lifespan.
Hot-Dip (The Durafence Standard): Wire is submerged in molten zinc, creating a thick, chemically bonded alloy. It lasts 15–20+ years and is essential for Kenya's varied climate.
Electro-Galvanizing: A thin surface coating applied via electricity. It looks shiny but often rusts in less than 12 months when exposed to rain. We do not recommend this for permanent security.
If you require maximum security, our Triple Twist technology is the gold standard. While our standard chainlink is durable, Triple Twist locks the wires together in a way that makes it nearly impossible to "peel" the fence down, providing a critical delay factor against determined intruders in high-risk areas.
Absolutely. While many competitors offer "lightweight" wire to cut costs, the Durafence Standard Chainlink is built to be exceptionally strong and durable. We use high-tensile steel wire that resists sagging and impact.
However, we go a step further in our construction: while our competitors typically use knuckled ends (simple loops that can be easily pulled apart), Durafence only uses twisted ends. This prevents the fence from being unraveled or "unzipped" if a wire is cut, ensuring your perimeter remains intact and secure for years.
No. It is a Hot-Dip Galvanized steel core with a thermal-bonded PVC (vinyl) outer layer. This provides "Double Protection"—the zinc prevents rust, while the PVC protects the zinc from salt air (Coastal regions) or acidic soils.
Yes. All Durafence products conform to KEBS KS EAS 135:1999 standards. We don't just sell "wire"; we sell certified security with guaranteed wire gauges and zinc weights.
We offer three easy ways to get your BQ (Bill of Quantities):

For your convenience, we accept M-Pesa (Till Number), RTGS/Bank Transfers, and Direct Deposits. All purchases come with a KRA/ETR-compliant invoice.
While Durafence is primarily a manufacturer and supplier, we have a network of vetted professional installers across Kenya. We can connect you with a specialist who understands the specific tensioning requirements of our high-tensile wire.
We provide a full range of razor wire solutions tailored to your specific security needs:
Concertina Razor Wire: Our most popular high-security option, available in various diameters (450mm, 730mm, and 980mm).
Flat Wrap Razor Wire: Ideal for gates or fences where you need high security without the wire protruding over the neighbor’s property or into public walkways.
Straight Razor Wire: Can be installed in straight lines for low-profile protection or as a supplement to other fencing types.
All our razor wire is heavily galvanized to ensure it remains razor-sharp and rust-free for decades, even in Kenya’s harshest outdoor conditions.
For a standard 1-acre square plot (approx. 256m perimeter):
3-Line Fence: ~2 rolls of 610m wire.
5-Line Fence: ~3 rolls of 610m wire.
10% Buffer: We always recommend adding a small buffer to account for corner tensioning and waste.
